SAFER COMMUNITIES THROUGH PREVENTION

PREVENTION & PUBLIC SAFETY

Prevention, trust, and accountability. Creating safe spaces for youth and adults, and ensuring young people have a voice in decisions that affect their communities.

The Evidence

50%Reduction in juvenile violent arrests (C2C)
CR-109-2025Adequate Public Safety Response Time Test

Our public safety model is failing the Adequate Response Time Test. We're over-policing symptoms, not treating causes. Service-Hubs Over Stations: 24/7 hubs with mental health crisis support, youth mentorship, domestic violence intervention. Red Flag education in every community.

What are Service-Hubs?

Service-Hubs Over Stations: 24/7 hubs offering mental health crisis support, youth mentorship, and domestic violence intervention—instead of sending people to police stations for minor offenses. Choose to Change cut violent arrests by 50%.

What's the Adequate Response Time Test?

Our public safety model is failing it—police and EMS aren't reaching residents fast enough. CR-109-2025 fixes the test so response times meet standards. Red Flag education (from a DV survivor advocate) integrates into all community safety programming.
